Founded in 2006 • Atlanta, GA
The Graduates are a semiprofessional, co-ed a capella group based in Atlanta, GA. A collaboration of vocal artists hailing from all corners of the Atlanta metro area, The Graduates’ repertoire spans a vast range, from Pop anthems and Rock to R&B and Global chart-toppers.Â
The Graduates have performed in a myriad of settings since their humble beginnings, including at TEDxAtlanta (2013), Mercedes-Benz Stadium (2016), and in the East Wing of The White House (2023). Their debut EP, Adult Education, was released in 2016 and can be found on  iTunes and Spotify. You can find The Grads performing at a variety of community events throughout the year around Atlanta. They might be belting on the Beltline, harmonizing at your friend’s niece’s bat mitzvah, or crooning in your favorite dive bar at any point throughout the year. A highlight of Graduates’ performance season is their annual fall concert, the attendance of which has become a treasured local tradition.

It all started in 2006, when four college a cappella alumni realized they weren’t quite ready to stop making music together.
After graduation left a noticeable gap their college a cappella community had once filled, Margot Adler, Retta Sola, Joe Martinez, and Brooks Smith longed to create a space where they could make music together again. In 2006, the four recent alumni of Wake Forest University’s Innuendo reunited to found a semi-professional a capella group they would call The Graduates.Â
From its inception, The Graduates embraced a shared belief that music should be rooted in friendship, humility, and joy, never allowing the pursuit of perfection to overshadow the relationships at its core. Twenty years later, The Grads family continues to carry that founding spirit forward: delivering high-quality, all-vocal performances grounded in camaraderie, artistic excellence, and meaningful local collaboration.

Tell us what you’re planning. We’ll bring the voices—and the good kind of goosebumps.
